Overview
The scheme
The development delivers a purpose-built student accommodation scheme of 112 self-contained studio rooms, including six accessible studios. The site sits in a mixed urban setting among residential blocks, commercial units and transport links.
Studios are arranged over five storeys: 14 at ground floor, 30 at first, 30 at second, 21 at third and 17 at fourth. Ground floor accommodates front-of-house and amenity space alongside back-of-house functions — heating and hot water plant, LV, UPS and substation stores, refuse and recycling, and multiple risers — with cold water and sprinkler plant at basement level.
At roof level the scheme carries air source heat pumps, two smoke extract fan assemblies, a natural smoke shaft, glazed smoke vents and PV arrays. Landscaped circulation, cycle storage and integrated cores complete the arrangement.
